ABOUTStarline is a fanmade JoJo's Bizarre Adventure tarot deck. Applications for card artists, merch artists and writers open on February 10th!While this project is inspired by the deck and stands in Stardust Crusaders, we aim to provide a full, more accurate and character driven tarot deck then the one provided. All eight parts will be represented through characters and events.We will be accepting 39 card artists, 3 merch artists and 5 writers who will be required to draw two cards each. After costs (including hopefully sending free copies of the deck to contributors) have been met we aim to donate a certain amount of our profits to charity and any money raised beyond that goal will be split between contributors.Please note that this project will not accept applicants found engaging in or promoting any harmful material such as: racism, homophobia, transphobia, pedophilia, incest, or any other kind of bigotry or hate speech.We understand that JJBA explores some dark themes, but we do not wish to condone, promote or romanticise harmful content.More info, along with contributor guidelines and project specs can be found in our info doc.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONSQ: What's a Tarot Deck?A: A Tarot deck is a deck of 78 fully illustrated cards, each with their own imagery, symbolism and story. These cards are used for divination purposes, to look into your past, present and future. You do not have to be spiritual to use and enjoy Tarot cards, some people just like them for aesthetic purposes while others look to them for guidance.Q: Do I need knowledge of Tarot Cards to apply?A: Not at all! We aim to make a fun and accessible tarot deck, our mod team will help and provide resources when needed. If we end up taking writers on board they will need a certain level of tarot knowledge so that the card descriptions are accurate, but any kind of expertise is not needed.Q: How will characters be assigned to their cards?A: The mod team will be assigning characters to cards, but we will offer up the chance to contributors to suggest changes should they strongly disagree with one of our placements.Q: Why is this project called Starline?A: The major arcana follows ‘The Fool’s Journey’, a metaphor for the journey through life that we all take. All the characters in the Joestar bloodline, or the Starline, go through their own Fool's Journey.Q: Wil contributors get a free copy of the deck?A: All contributors will receive a free digital copy of the tarot guide book, and should our budget allow it our contributors will be compensated with a deck and any accompanying physical good.Q: How old do applicants need to be to apply?A: As there is a potential for some of the zine's profits to go to contributors, everyone who participates and receives monetary compensation must be 18 or older! If minor’s wish to participate they may apply but must understand that their profits will go towards our chosen charity instead. Asides from this, the zines minimum age requirement will be 16 years old.Q: Why can’t minors be financially compensated?A: International child labour laws!Q: Can I participate if I live in (country)?A: Yes, anyone can participate in this project from anywhere! The only thing we will say is that we will not be able to send money to any countries that do not allow PayPal or Cash App, so if you cannot accept any potential monetary compensation via those methods you must be aware that your share will go to charity!Q: Will this project allow spoilers?A: Yes! While you won't need to be caught up to enjoy or participate in this project, please be aware that this deck will contain major spoilers for all parts of jojo.
